Hi. I have windows vista gateway laptop. I have internet explorer and when i type a website, it doesn't come up at all. for example facebook.com shows up as

the websites show up as google images and i don't know how to stop this. google.com and yahooanswers are the only websites that work. if i google facebook.com and click on it from there, it still doesn't show up. i can't get on aol.com either or a game poptropica.com. I don't understand what is wrong. Can you please help? thanks!
Could be a Virus or Adware, I'd scan it then get a better web browser like free Google Chrome.
there could be a proxy directing you to other websites. check tools> internet options>connections>LAN settings and if the use proxy server box is clicked unclick it.
